LOTD: Floral Sunday

If you follow my instagram, you most probably know that this post is several days overdue, but I decided to post it anyway. Last Sunday, I finally got to spend the day out and just enjoy the sun and the beauty of the blossoming spring. For some reason, I felt really rejuvenated, happy and refreshed. It was just a low key day. I slept in and woke up to the most beautiful sun light ever. It felt really good considering I don't typically see the daylight from monday to saturday. I get to appreciate time and nature beauty more and more and I am grateful for that.

Maybeline Color Whisper in A Plum Prospect
Finally got to try this maybelline color whisper. I love it! The color is bold enough to be a lipstick, but it is really comfortable on the lips. I can't believe I'm saying this, but this is even more comfortable than the Revlon Lip Butter. It doesn't feather on my often chapped lips. I love the color too! Bold and bright but not in "in-your-face" kind of way.

Loft cardigan, Forever 21 necklace, GAP tee

American Eagle Jeggings
It seemed to be a regret at first, but I now am liking my floral-print jeggings from American Eagle. The floral is just fun and so spring-y.

Happy Spring everyone!!

Beauty Review: Skinfood Royal Honey Eye Cream

Hiiii!!!! Another quick post from my bed. 5 mins before bed time and I just want to write my some beauty review. Haha. I'm so random. But seriously, I've been wanting to post a lot of things, but it's really had to squeeze in time since I like to relax when I'm writing.

Anyway, my eye cream was out for about a month and I finally got a chance to go to the mall last week and get a new one. I've been using Garnier eye cream, a drugstore product. While it is a good product, I don't feel it doesn anything for me. I've learned now that your eye area is the most wrinkle-prone. Not that I am against aging, but I am all about aging beautifully. And I've also learned that it's never too early to start taking care of your skin.

I've added eye cream to my beauty reginen about a year ago. I realize that ever since I use eye cream, my eye area is really well hydrated, more than usual. And i really love this Skinfood Royal Honey eye cream. The name sounds promising, doesn't it? I've only been using it for a week, so I can't really say that I've seen anything different nor that I will considerin. I don't really have problem with wrinkles, not just yet. But what I can say for sure is that my eye area feels healthier and nicer if that makes sense. The cream really moisturizes and it kees my eyes hydrated. You can actually feel the hydrating sensation as you're applying it. I hope I don't sound that I'm overselling it. Haha.

Skinfood is a beauty brand from Korea. I talked the lady in the store who helped me picked this up and she mentioned that Skinfood has only 7 stores accross the US! Wow, I'm so glad that one of them is just 2 miles away fron where I live. I've used their lipbalm, which my mom said yo be the best lipbalm to keep her lips chap free, and blush which I've shown you before in my old post. I love everything I've tried from Skinfood so far, and this eyecream is certainly my fave!

First Impression: L'Oreal Advanced Haircare Power Moisture

Hello everyone! Long time no post here. I've been swamped with work, but hey, what else is new?
I want to give a quick shout out for my new shampoo and conditioner duo. Haha.
I've promised to post first-impression type of blog post, so here's my first.

What attracted me first with these products were mainly the pastel colors. I know, I am guilty as charged when it comes to pretty colors. I'm quirky like that. My shampoo has been out and I didn't have time to go to the store to pick up a new one. I used the only one I had at my bathroom cabinet at that time, baby shampoo. I use this sometimes to clean my brushes, but mainly I keep it just because I love the smell of it. Anyway, on Sunday when I finally got a chance to go to Target, I saw these.

I've been eyeing these from the advertisement and of course the giant ad on the store "new products" section. I've used it twice so far. My verdict? I love 'em! Especially the conditioner. It really makes those hair mask thing unimportant anymore. It makes my hair smooth and tangle free. It infuses moisture that hydrate my dry hair due to heat-styling for so long. I love them. They do weigh your hair down a little bit because of the moisture it provides but not to the level of flat or oily. I have fine hair but it's been quite damaged by the weather and all. It feels nice not to tug and be at wear every time I try comb through my hair after washing it.

So, what's great haircare product do you recommend? =)

Beauty Review: Bare Minerals Original Foundation

Hello everyone! I'm sorry for the lack of posts. I've been so swamped with work. 60-hour week at the office has really taken its toll on me, and it's gonna get worse for the next few weeks as the tax season has now officially started. Working life has been really tiring yet exhilarating at the same time. I am insomnia no more. No more late nights and late days. I sleep and start my day early every day, which I am now starting to get used to it.

I haven't been trying on new products lately, but I do want to bring you a beauty product that I feel is worth the time to be written a review for.
If you remember from my old post, I purchased this Bare Minerals Try. Believe. Love kit in medium beige from Ulta a while back.

I bought it simply because it had the mini version of multi-tasking powder bisque that Emily mentioned it in her Full Coverage Concealer Trick video. She raved about how this thing is able to level up the coverage of even your least favorite concealer.

I've tried it, and I've got to say I don't think it works at all that wonders as she talked about. It does give you a little bit more coverage, but it does fade throughout the day. But in the starter kit, I'm introduced to Bare Minerals Foundation. I haven't given it much love for quite a while until I watched Tanya aka pixi2woo's video using the product. Then I got back to it and tried it out more in depth for myself. I've got to say guys, this baby has really given new meaning to powder foundation.

Although it's in powder form, it doesn't disappear as you buff it on your face. The thick formulation allows the product to build up on your face and gives great coverage and nice finish. What I usually do is using my Real Technique Buffing brush, I tap the brush on the powder and buff it on my face in swirling motion. I love this brush for the application because it's not too dense like Sigma kabuki brush is so it allows the loose product to be spread nicely on your face. It is really noticable how the powder foundation evens out my skin tone as I'm done buffing.

The staying power is as awesome as the coverage! I wore it throughout the day and after several hours I could still see the product still held up really well. One more great thing about this is because it's a foundation in loose powder form, it gives you coverage without covering your pores which means your skin can still 'breathe' easily if you know what I mean.

I love using this product on my lazy days. I feel like it's easier and less messy compared to using a liquid foundation. I gotta be honest. I have been make up free on weekdays because I want to start my working day as early as possible and doing my make up in the morning just won't let me do that. But when I do feel I have extra time, this is definitely my go-to choice.

Hope this review is informative if not useful for you. Thank you for reading. Until the next post! =)
