Baby Essentials I Actually Use

It's been a long while since I last posted on this blog. Things have changed drastically within the last couple of years and I just get busier and busier that I kinda abandoned my beloved blog. If you've been following me on my IG and youtube, you've probably known by now that I just recently welcome my baby. Milie. She's now 9.5 months old and life is completely different with a baby around. As a new mom, it can get overwhelming at times, especially during the newborn days.

The first couple of months were a blur. We did anything we could to survive the lack of sleep and constant crying. We were dealing with something new and as much as we'd prepared before hand, it felt that it wasn't enough. However, things get better. I love waking up in the morning and see her smile =)

Below are the things we have found useful so far. I've broken them down into several different categories that make sense to me. They don't necessarily need to be the same exact thing, but I hope this could give clearer idea on what you might need especially during the newborn days.

Feeding

UPANG

We are breastfeeding and bottle-feeding Milie at the moment. My friend introduced this Korean UV sanitizer to me. It can sanitize almost anything, not just baby items. I didn't see any US review on youtube, but a lot of people in Indonesia use it. This has been the best purchase for its practicality and ease of use. One thing I want to add, I was under the impression that I had to sanitize all the feeding equipments, e.g. bottles, pump, every single feeding. I imagined the horror to boil them in water several times a day and it catalyzed the decision for this purchase. Later on, I read through the CDC website that it is not necessary to sanitize every feeding but it recommends to do it about once a week or so. I've posted an in-depth review on my channel. You can watch it here

Baby bottles

These are probably obvious to you, but I didn't know there are so many different ones out there. I was fortunate enough to be gifted a lot of different brands that I could decide on my favorite. I said my favorite because Milie fortunately takes any bottle given to her. Hallelujah! I use the basic bottle from Medela because that's the brand of my breast pump. I just find it convenient to not having to change bottles after I pump. However, I have to say my favorite is the Philip Avent bottles

Zojirushi Water Boiler and Heater

This is another best purchase that we have made for bottle-feeding. I know there are a lot of types of bottle warmers out there, but everything basically does the same thing. They heat water to heat a bottle. It takes too long for us and we find it such a hassle to navigate the bottle warmer every feeding. This doesn't only boil water, but it keeps the water hot at specific temperature as long as it's plugged in. Every time we bottle feed Milie, we just dispense some water (we keep ours at 175 degree, above that the bottle gets too hot if put in  too long) into a stainless-steel cup (so the water stays hot longer) and put a bottle from the fridge inside for about 7-10 minutes. It also gives us easy access to hot water for tea and coffee.

Haakaa & Nursing Pads

I realize not all moms would experience the same thing, but when I first started producing milk, I would leak very often. I leak on one boob when Milie is feeding from the other. I leak while watching TV. I woke up with my top soaking wet. Ever since then, I learn to always wearing nursing pads and using Haakaa while I nurse. I don't leak as much now that my milk is regulated, but these two were must-haves for me. I ended up getting two Haakaa pumpms, one is the 5 oz with suction cup at the bottom (newer model) and lid, and the other is the 4oz with no suction cup and no lid. I have to say I feel different quality between the two. The newer model latches more securely compared to the older model. I find my self keep repositioning the suction everytime I use the older model.

Bibs

Bibs always come in handy especially once Milie starts drooling excessively at around 2 months. It decreases after couple of months for us. I don't think she's teething yet at the moment. Once the drool starts to subside at around 5 months (at least for us), bibs are essential once we start introducing her to solid food. I'm planning to post more about this in a future post/video!

Baby Spoons
Once we've started solid foods, this spoon comes in handy. We love the material, it's smooth and flexible enough to feed Milie.

Baby food storage

If you decide to make you own baby food, this comes really handy. I prefer glass jars over plastic and you can freeze these as well. Plus I really love the muted soft colors of the lids!

Sleep

Milie at 2 months old on her Evolur Premium Napper

Evolur Premiun Napper

We have problem with reflux in the early newborn days. I didn't realize how unstable a newborn's digestive system is. We have followed the guidance from the NICU nurses to always burp her and keep her upright for at least 15 minutes after every feeding. However, we still found her throw up, spit up, sometimes through her nose, and she was always in pain every feeding. She HATED it when we laid her down. She would kick and scream every time we laid her down, even when we were changing her diapers. We had to prop her head a little to make her feel more comfortable. I browsed through countless Amazon products until I found this that looked promising. The first time we put her down on this, she just sat there quietly next to us. It was the best feeling ever. Now, I'm not saying that this will stop babies from crying, but it sure did help with the reflux problem. After burping and keeping her upright, we put her down on this for several minutes longer before laying her flat. Sometimes, we still found her spit up through her nose. We would move her back again to the Evolur Sleep and she would take a nap there. She's taken countless of naps and sleeps on this thing ever since. Now that she is over 3 months old, her reflux is much better and very minimal spit up. She doesn't hate laying down anymore. We don't use it as much as we used to now, but it was truly a life saver for us.

Baby Carrier/Wrap

I was pretty much clueless in how to getting a baby to sleep. The only way I knew how was to rocking her to sleep. When she was just a newborn, I use a baby wrap pretty much all of the time to get her to stop crying. I feel like it was the only way I could get her to calm down so I could do other things. To this day, I prefer to carry her when I can, e.g. during our walks, instead of putting her in her stroller. Our friend handed me her ergobaby carrier. I tried using it with the newborn insert, but I feel it was still too big and lack of neck support at the time. I opted for baby carrier, but now I use the carrier more often.

Yoga Ball

In addition to carrying her around, a yoga ball was our go-to in putting her to sleep. We bought it in preparation of labor, but we barely used it then. Who knew it'd come in handy to put babies to sleep? I spent a good chunk of my time on the ball bouncing while holding Milie to put her to sleep. She's past that now, but this helps calm her down instantly!

Sound Machine

We find sound machine really helps to draw out the noisy sound if you are sharing a room with your baby. It doesn't necessarily help our baby to fall asleep, but I really think it helps to create a more soothing environment, especially during the newborn days. We also love the Hatch+ since it doubles as a night light and also has an easy-to-read clock. We got it for free when we purchased our nursing chair, otherwise we probably would've gone with the less expensive version.

Clothing

While clothing pretty much are not the top priority when it comes to taking care of babies, I do have my preference. It really doesn't matter to me to have organic cotton, etc. I just like practical things, especially when I need to open and close several times a day for diaper change/spit up/poop explosion, etc.

  • Uniqlo - I like the open-front bodysuits, especially for newborn days since their neck is still not strong enough. Open-front clothes also better for babies that still have the umbilical chord attached to minimize contact.
  • Old Navy - I love their pjs/onesies because it comes with foldover mittens, which means no additional mittens necessary! Also, the best feature is the zipper zips from the bottom-up, instead of the other way around which makes diaper changing more comfortable for the baby. With the regular zipper that zips down, baby's top part is always exposed during diaper change which can get pretty cold especially at night/dawn.
  • Walmart, TJ Maxx, Ross - I always find good PJs, and other essentials like bibs and hats at these stores at a much more affordable price.
Toys

It's kind of counter-intuitive of me to think of how many toys babies need to keep them entertained. I always thought babies will just be satisfied being held and looking at surroundings. While it's true, things do get old, even for babies. Since it's only me and my husband, we do need an extra set of "hands" to hold Milie, whether it be toys or anything that can keep her "busy" even for only 20 minutes. We've also scoured Facebook market to buy some of these and save ourselves some extra bucks.

We introduced this to her once she's got strong neck control - around 3 to 4 months. We only put her several minutes at a time initially. She loved jumping around in her jumperoo. This jumperoo is big and bulky, but it's also steady and sturdy. We got this from our friend. While we love the security and sturdiness, this wouldn't have been my first choice due to its size.

This has kept her entertained on the hotel days during our road trip. She spent 20-30 minutes looking at the dangling toys. I loved the colorful cute design.

There are tons of bouncer out there. We've tried the expensive ones, like the one from Baby Bjorn, but ultimately Milie enjoys this one much more. It offers the same practical feature, which is bouncing, but it also has the included toy that she can stare at and later on, reach for. Plus, the price makes much more sense for us.

Miscellaneous
  • Dock-A-TotThere's a whole debate about this product and how safe it's actually for sleeping. I'm not going to dig deep into that, but I just want to say Milie has spent countless hours sleeping in this. I believe the enclosure helps comfort her

  • Portable Jumper - This basically serves the same purpose with the Jumperoo I mentioned above, but it's much more light weight and it can be easily carried from my living room to the bedroom or kitchen, etc. I resisted to buy this at first, but I can't say I regretted the purchase since it has been really helpful to have a second one even though it's absolutely not necessary.

What other things you use for your baby that I miss? Any recommendations are welcome!

Life is Too Short | My Very First Louis Vuitton Neverfull Bag

LOUIS VUITTON Neverfull MM, OLD NAVY Everyday coat, and mid-rise rockstar jeans (similar)

Tax season is starting to get to me, which is not bad considering it has been 6 weeks in. I've been working on weekends, so the little time I have on weekend becomes even more precious. Just about a week before my working Saturday started, we visited this nursery in search for lavender plants. We've been having some "cat problem" and by problem I mean the neighbors' cats literally just pooped everywhere on our front yard and backyard. We heard that lavender plants are supposed to help repel animals. Long story short, it didn't work but we get a nice looking lavender in front of our window now. It was a beautiful nursery with a lot of different plants.

If you follow me on my channel, you know that not too long ago I just got my very first Louis Vuitton bag. I had been wanting the iconic Neverfull bag for years. I finally pulled the trigger and bought it. I had been eyeing the bag since I was still in college, and I can finally afford it with my own money! I took the new bag out on our little shopping trip and to the nursery.

My Happy Planner | Free Printable Planner Stickers

My new obsession starts at the beginning of the year when I was browsing at Michaels and found what's called the Happy Planner for 60% off. It does lift up to its name, it makes me happy just to plan out my days using stickers and colorful accessories. It does take a long time, and you need to like it to be able to enjoy it. Otherwise, it's just an added chore with cute stickers ;P

In my video, I show you how I decorate and use my Happy Planner. I am so grateful with the internet to be able to find a free printable stickers, so I don't have to keep buying new ones when I'm bored. I do need to cut them out and stick them manually, but it's how I de-stress at the end of the day =)

My Netflix Watch List | Series Edition

Netflix has been my go-to when it comes to filling in spare time or just to have something played on the background while I'm cooking/folding laundry/cleaning. It also has come out with legit original series this past few years, and the shows have been my favorites. And continue reading to the end for Ocep's watch list!

Please note that Netflix streaming offerings differ in each country. The ones that I put * are Netflix originals and should be available on any country.

Stranger Things* / sci-fi
My co-worker told me about this. He swore by it, and told me that I needed to watch the series asap. I was hooked on the first episode. It only has 8 episodes for the first season, so I tried to savor the show by watching it one episode a day. It was a major self-controlling on my part.

One Day at a Time* / sitcom; drama
I just finished binge-watching the whole season, and it is so different than any other 30-minute sitcom I've ever watched, and that's why I also put it under drama category. It tells a story about a single mother, her two kids, her mom and their Cuban heritage. It is educative and speaks about some deep topics on every episode. The show allows awkward moments which don't go away by audience laughter in the background. It gets as real as possible, and I love it.

Doing My Sister's Makeup | Rosy Eyes

I've always wanted to learn how to do other people's makeup, and I had the opportunity to take a class when I was back home. The class was a short one, 10 meetings of 4-hour session each. Fortunately for me, there were no other students at that time, so I had a private one-on-one lesson which helps me to be more focus and ask any questions I had.

Bare with me, that I'm still learning, and when it comes to makeup I don't think I will ever stop learning. I am just so grateful that my family is so supportive of me. After the class ended, I put my lessons to the test on my mom and sister. Here's a simple flawless makeup on my sister.

My Top Tips for Staying Organized

I took a break from my work for several months, and next week, I will be back to my reality. Over the course of 5 months,  I don't really have a fixed routine like I do when I go to work. Nevertheless, I am the type of person who always tries to make the most productive out of a day. It's really rare for me to just want to chill and spend a lazy Sunday. Not that there's anything wrong with having a lazy Sunday. But it just never happens for me. I always hustle and bustle trying to get whatever I can done on a day.

Staying at home can be very tempting to just lounge around all day and not get anything done, but for me it is important to have a to-do list everyday even when I don't have anything in particular scheduled.

Make up your bed. I feel like I am in a better mood and more productive when I make up my bed in the morning. It helps clear my mind, and it also feels nice when I go to a tidy bed at night. It sets the mood.

Take a shower. Even when you have nowhere to go, taking a shower helps you feel refreshed and ready for a new day. Doing my skincare routine in the morning, especially when I am in no rush, feels really good. It sets my mood throughout the day.

Set a schedule. When I stay at home, writing a post or shooting a video, doing house chores - cooking, cleaning, laundry at the same time, I need to be aware of the time or otherwise I would not get anything done or worse be distracted. It is important to set a schedule for myself so I know what to do when to do them.

Invest in a planner. Nowadays, you can take your agenda (i.e. your phone) everywhere with you. I always find it satisfying to jot down what I need with pen and paper. I find it fulfilling and I always refer to my planner to see my day/week/month looks like. I tend to forget small things, like doing laundry or buy milk, but when I write them down, it is much more likely for me to actually do them (although i still need to work on writing down "Go to the Gym!" and actually go). I'm currently enjoying the Happy Planner. It was 60% off at Michaels at the beginning of January. I know it takes work just to decorate them, but that's what makes it fun for me throughout the whole process.

Having a designated work area, if possible. Even at home. I find having a desk and chair at home is crucial for me to get things done. I do most of chores and blog-related work at this very spot. It's not perfect, but I love my little work area. I love how I have a window right in front of my desk, so I don't feel too suffocated sitting for hours in a room. The sun is also the best source of lighting for my pictures and videos!

Take a break. Although I'm always hustling and bustling, I do take short breaks here and there. It can sometimes be mentally draining when I do my chores or just the things I need to do throughout the day. My idea of taking a break is going to Target to see what's new or going to a boba place and pick up my favorite drink.

Our Wedding in Jakarta, Indonesia

Hi Everyone! Long time no post. As you may have known, I just got married a little over a month ago, and things have been pretty hectic. I was in my hometown for quite sometime, so I was out of my usual set up. I have to say, being away for home with my family and friends have changed the way I am within the past 3 months. I value the time I have more with my parents and sister, and I also got to reconnect with old friends, which have been awesome.

Our wedding might not be exactly the way we had hoped, but God had blessed us in so many ways. The ceremony and reception went as smoothly as possible, and all thanks to our family and friends and wedding team for the fabulous cooperation! If you don't know already, an Indonesian wedding, typically in Jakarta, is usually bigger and much more complicated compared to the simple and intimate weddings in the US, which I and Ocep both love. It was a grand experience for both of us, with around 700 guests came to our reception.

My day started at around 3 AM. My makeup artist and hair dresser came to my hotel room a little bit after 3.30, and started the process right away. Then the photographer came at around 5.30 am. We hired different makeup artists for my bridesmaids, mom, sister, mom-in-law and sister-in-law. All to be more efficient and save time. We had our ceremony scheduled at 10 AM at the church where I came to know Christ. It meant a lot for me to have our ceremony there. After the ceremony, we then had the Chinese tradition, tea ceremony, or what we call tea-pay. It's where we respect our elders from both sides of the family by serving them tea and usually the elders give red envelopes or jewelries as the wedding gifts.

I'm so glad I had my two besties that kept me laughing throughout the day!

One of the traditions what we followed was the veiling of the bride by the parents. I had on my hands Yosef's corsage which later I would give to Yosef in exchange for my bouquet.

Confessions of a Bride-to-be | What Changes and What Doesn't

I have to say there are a lot of things in life they don't teach at school - being a bride is one of them. I've heard different stories, but when I finally get to experience it first hand, I feel super unprepared. Nevertheless, I'm trying to enjoy this phase of my life as much as I could. It's not as hard as I make it sound to be. It really isn't.

First of all, let me just sing praise for my very own wedding coordinator, my beloved mom. I do hire a wedding planner, but no one can replace my mom's position in this wedding. She's the most supportive mom, and she's super resourceful. She's the one who went vendor hunting when I was still away. She, with the help of my dear dad of course, went all around Jakarta to plan for my wedding. She could get a bit carried away sometimes when she thinks of every single detail. It may seem like she cares more about the wedding than I do, which is not entirely untrue. This is her first ever wedding to plan, but she's not new in event organizing. Working at humanitarian organization for 32 years, she'd been the go-to person when it comes to organizing and executing events. She should consider this a new career.

Planning a wedding is hard as it is let alone planning when you're on a different continent. I just got back home a little less than 2 months before the wedding. We decided to have the wedding in Jakarta instead of in the US because most of our families are in Indo. It just makes more sense (even though the more details I have to think about the more I question our decision). The US wedding culture, at least for most weddings I've attended to, is simpler and intimate. It's not the case for Indonesian wedding. I used to grunt with mockery at the fact of inviting a "friend of a relative who's the second cousin of" which is what Indonesian weddings do. Some of my perspectives have changed since then.

What changes:

  • While I had my own expectation about my own wedding, I had stopped to try fulfilling every single one of them and started seeing the bigger picture.

The One with Suprise Pre-Wedding Party

Despite of our decision to have our wedding in Indonesia, there was a gap in my heart knowing that I didn't get to celebrate with my loved ones here in the US and to not have a garden-theme wedding like I had always wanted (outdoor wedding is tricky during September to December when it's rainy season in Indonesia). On the back of my mind, I thought of throwing a little party for ourselves with our close friends, making it simple and intimate. Yet, with Ocep's new job, our new home, and the wedding prep in Indo, the thought was shoved right where it started, on the back of my mind.

One day, one of my dear friend, Cecyl, texted me asking me and Ocep to go to dinner with here this past Saturday. She said the location was a surprise, and it was to send me off to Indonesia since I am going to go back to Indo real soon. She didn't tell us anything else other than to dress up for it was a fancy dinner.

Saturday came, and we got ready in time when Cecyl said she would pick us up. I had Ocep to put on a black bow tie to match his black suit, making it real fancy. I decided to go with my favorite floral dress that I wore to a wedding not too long ago. You may have seen it from this post. When Cecyl arrived, and as we were going out of our door, she told us that our other friends, Fenny and Marlene, wanted to join us  at the last minute so we had pick them up also. When we got to their place, Cecyl told us to stay in the car since she was just going to knock at their door and let them know that we were there. She then came back to the car telling us to wait inside since they were still getting ready. I kinda knew where the dinner was going to be at that point =).

The Surprise
I rang the door bell, Ocep was behind me. The door was opened, and all of our close friends were there shouting, "SURPRISE!" The night just got better and better from then on. I was smiling all night until my jaw hurt. They turned Fenny & Marlene's backyard to a fancy garden party, complete with the pretty lights and center pieces. There was even a two-layer Indonesian cheesecake as the wedding cake made by our dearest friend.

How to Paint a Room | My First Experience

If you follow me on Instagram, you might already know that we decided to paint some of the rooms at our new place ourselves. I documented the process through Instagram stories. The first room's up is my space/office. I had been conflicted between painting the wall white or grey-ish shade, and I finally decided to go with a shade called 'Bay Waves' from Valspar. It was a last minute decision. I really wanted to paint my room last Saturday, so we went to Lowe's to get the paint. I literally just grabbed one of the brochure with paint samples picked one. For the painting equipment, I went with the good Amazon reviews and bought this kit. We have no complain about the kit nor the paint itself.

I watched many YT videos before d-day. I wanted to make sure that being first-time painters, we were at least prepared with what we'd put ourselves into. I didn't realize that paint nowadays are so much better quality. The paint I chose no longer blends quite easily and it doesn't have that overwhelming odor. We went with the eggshell finish because I thought for filming it would reduce the glare from the light. The sun is always up and coming from my window, which I'm not complaining.

Monday Roundup | Saint Laurent Bag, Bright Lips

It's #moanday alright. I feel like every Monday, I am super lazy and tired even though I don't typically do anything on Sundays. It's weird. Monday blues are for real. I love this bucket bag from Loft. I've talked about it again and again. One thing that I want to point out is that it doesn't have any zipper, so when I put down my bag, it is very easy for someone to look at the inside and take something. I can be a bit paranoid when I am using this in a public place. Other than that, I love the versatility and convenience of just throwing everything inside and not lose anything.

Rimmel show off lip lacquer 'Apocaliptic'

Every time I put on a bright colored lipstick, I almost always end up switching it last minute because I feel like my lips are on display. Nevertheless, bright lippies attract me. It's so ironic. I force myself to do it once in a while, not because I feel like I have to, but because I want to. I feel like I need to start doing what I want to do without being so self conscious.

Ah-mazing under eye concealer. I've made a video about it, and I've blogged about it. This is awesome!

This is my very first Saint Laurent purse and I was so excited when I filmed it. You might be able to tell how giddy I was in the video. I will talk more about it in a blog post, soon!

Winter Green and Grey | 2016 Year of Positivity

Hi everyone.
I've realized now I have been neglecting the blog for quite some time. I have been busy with the new year. 2016 is an exciting year for me. If you follow me on instagram, you might already know why ;)
With the preparation and tax season ahead of me, I have been surprisingly calm on the outside. Yes, on the outside. On the inside? I'm trying not to go there right now. My office mate and I started this slogan, "2016 year of positivity". It just a short reminder to always be positive about every aspect in life. I had been the most negative person I know towards everything, and it really brought me down. Yest, I brought myself down because of my own negativity and I realized how unhealthy it was. I am trying to eat healthier, exercise more and think more positive. I find running help me a lot to just bring the stress down.

My now fiancee took me to watch Jersey Boys last Sunday. It took me a while to understand the Jersey-Italian accent of the characters, but I finally got to enjoy it. The sound was spectacular. I am surprised that I know quite a number of the songs.

My Workout Story

Hi everyone! I started this #healthy2015 earlier this year. I remember during tax season this year, I worked late hours, yet I felt I still had the energy from working out. I went Zumba and sometimes just ran on the treadmill. I  felt energized and good about that. Ever since then, I was committed to make a change of my lifestyle. I loveeeee doing nothing. Believe me. I love being a couch potato watching Youtube videos on my laptop.

San Francisco Lamb Jam 2015

Thanks to my friend, me and my boyfriend got to experience a different culinary adventure on Sunday. She invited us to go with her and her husband to this Lamb Jam event, which is apparently an annual thing hosted by American Lamb. The Lamb Jam is a tasting  event and competition of talented chefs in the city (they have 5 tour cities total) to incorporate their skills and lambs. They have 16 chefs compete, and we got to taste 16 different lamb dishes, plus drinks and desserts.

We had so many dishes served in small plates, but we were full and satisfied. Not everything was my favorite, but it was overall an exciting experience. I can't remember for the life of me which one is what, but I could show you some of the pictures of the food I tasted. Even though it was supposed to be a tasting event, the portion was pretty generous and filling.

Tax Season Break in Pictures | 2015

Hi Everyone! Long time no see!
Tax season is finally over. I'm enjoying a 4-day weekend right now. It feels really good to not working after 10 days of working non stop. Even during busy season, I always try to take a break here and there. It really helps ease my overwhelmed feeling that is inevitable during stressed months. Looking back, I'm pretty impressed at myself to be able to do all these things (read: to go out, at all) during my busiest season of the year!

Saturday (03/7) - Sancho's Taqueria
Had the best fish taco at Sancho's, Palo Alto after a long day at work

Sunday (03/8)
Went to Target and got myself a tall of coffee latte. I substituted with soy milk,
and then I realized I meant to say non-fat milk. My brain clearly started to lose its mind!

Monday (03/9) - 8:50pm
Just finished a 1-hour intense Zumba class. I managed to squeeze in
exercising in my week because of this gym buddy of mine =)

Saturday (03/14)
My man's back after two-week away for a family visit. I was all smiley after work on
a Saturday because of this guy right here. We went to Tumeric, Sunnyvale for dinner.

Saturday (03/21) - ZENsen Sushi, Newark
$1.50 for everything! The sushi was good. Plus unlimited stream of hot water and tea
at every table. Amazing! We then watched Dracula on blu-ray. Perfect night!

Sunday (03/22)
It's been a while since I last put on some makeup. On my way to farmers' market.

Sunday (03/22) - Farmers' Market, Campbell
Got all my groceries in the bag. We've been substituting
rice for broccoli and cauliflower.

Sunday (03/22) - Claw Shack, San Jose
Okay, clearly I lied. We still eat rice every now and then, but not as much
as we used to.

Friday (03/27) - Back-to-College-days-Dinner
It was one of those days when there was nothing in the fridge, and
the cup noodle was good enough. Hey, at least I got some brocolli!

Saturday (03/29) - Baby G's 1st Birthday
No words to describe how amazing Baby G's mom is! She decorated every single
thing. It was like pinterest-worthy everywhere!

Sunday (03/30) - Spring Floral
Nothing like floral print to brighten up the mood.

Saturday (04/04) - Arastradero Trail, Palo Alto
An afternoon stroll/light hike to enjoy God's creation on easter weekend.

Friday (04/10) - Crouching Tiger, Redwood City
The most intense day of tax season this year. A client called to ask
questions and challenge every answer I gave.

Saturday (04/11) - Wing Box, San Jose
Don't judge. I was super hungry!

Sunday (04/12) - Sacho's Taqueria, Palo Alto
My last working weekend. My boyfriend drove me to work and picked
me up after. It was a good day!

Tuesday (04/14) - Love Ran Red Tour, SJSU
Chris Tomlin is in the house! A long with Tenth Avenue North and
Rend Collective. It was a great night.

Wednesday (04/15) - Kickin' Crab, San Jose
Aside from tax season was over, it was a rough, emotional day.
A friend lost a parent today. My boss asked if I still had both of my parents. I said yes.
She said, "Well then love them as long as you can." I told her, "Of course". She walked
away and then stepped back to say, "Make sure to let them know you do."

Thursday (04/16) - San Francisco
The day after. We went for dim sum at Chinatown then a visit
to The Walt Disney Family Museum, and ice creat at Bi-Rite Creamery.

Until next year!
