California Winter | Camel Coat and Black Boots

OLD NAVY camel coat, BURBERRY scarf, A New Day boots

I hope you're not bored with camel coat. I'm still kinda obsessed with the coat, and I am wearing it pretty much for the rest of the winter. I just picked up new boots from the new exclusive to Target brand, A New Day. It is surprisingly comfortable, and I will get so much use out of them.

By the time this is posted, it's already almost the end to 2017. I want to wish you all a very Happy New Year and may 2018 bring you more joy and blessings to come. I hope to bring more quality content to my blog and channel in the next year. Thank you for continue supporting me!

Sunday Afternoon | Burberry Scarf

UNIQLO sweater & jeans (similar), VINCE CAMUTO booties (old), BURBERRY scarf

I've been a fan of the signature Burberry checkered print, and I am so glad that I finally have it in my wardrobe. I opted for the classic cashmere scarf with red hearts. The hearts are only printed on one side, so it's essentially two scarves in one. Pairing the scarf with a basic black top and jeans really brings out an outfit!

Autumn Afternoon | Black and Camel, Gucci Marmont Bag

OLD NAVY camel coat, UNIQLO sweater & jeans (similar),
VINCE CAMUTO booties (old), GUCCI marmont medium bag

I used to hate wearing black, but now I have a newfound love with the color. It just goes with everything (d'oh). I am embracing the color with my other familiar neutral colors - came and nude.  The temp is dropping by the day, and it just means Christmas is getting closer =)
I can't believe how fast a year has gone by. A lot has happened within a year, yet I feel like there's just a lot of things I have yet to be done.

I fell in love with this bag the moment I saw a picture of it online. I was debating

FALL ESSENTIAL | CAMEL COAT UNDER $50

UNIQLO TSHIRT , TOPSHOP JEANS,
OLD NAVY COAT, GUCCI BAG

I just finished reading The Capital Gaines by Chip GainesOne excerpt that gave me the aha moment comes from a chapter called "Team of Rivals":

"Some people show enormous resistance to modifying even a fraction of themselves. They're not about to shift the way they think or what they think they know. They simply expect others to get with the program - to adjust their mind-set and fall into their way of thinking. How ignorant for any of one of us to assume that we have a monopoly on right perspective and no one else holds even a piece of the puzzle." And later in the chapter, he continues "The truth is, we don't have to agree on everything to be friends, but a lot of people seem to think we do. That popular and toxic lie has taken our beautiful planet and turned it into a battleground. The assumption is, if you don't think like me, not only are you wrong, but you are bad and possibly even evil."

I am, too, sometimes guilty by being too caught up with my own judgments and opinions where the truth is they don't matter. I stand my ground on the things that are principle and important, but I don't get to judge others based on that. If each one of us can learn to approach differences with love and compassion, this world will literally be a better place. In my husband's famous quote, "Why don't we all just get along." (Which he stated as encouragement not as question, hence the period)

As the temp is dropping, fall is feeling more and more real now in nor-cal. I have always been taking advantage of this crisp weather to bust out my cozy coats. With lower temp, it  doesn't really matter what you're wearing inside if you are outside because what people see mostly is your coat. While most of my coats don't really scream statement coats, they do really make my outfits during colder weather.

How I Style | Louis Vuitton Pochette Metis

JCREW TEE, LOFT BOYFRIEND JEANS, LV POCHETTE METIS
Louis Vuitton Pochette Metis has been the it back for the past couple of years, yet I was so late
joining the party. It took me months to finally be able to get my hands on the bag. I was on the waitlist for months, but I could finally beat the waitlist and purchased it online. Watch my story here.

OLD NAVY ROCKSTAR DENIM, ANN TAYLOR SANDALS
I love the versatility of the Pochette Metis, and I think that it is the modern take Louis Vuitton classic bag. I decided to make a video of how I style it. I dress it up and dress it down.

Ocep graciously spent Sunday evening shooting me for the videos. He also took all the pictures. I think by now he's made peace that he is officially my Insta husband =)

Sunny Side Out in Los Angeles | Oversized Shirt Jacket

LOFT TANK and SHORTS (old), ZARA OVERSIZED SHIRT,
LV POCHETTE ACCESSOIRES (w/ vachetta strap from ebay)

We took a four-day trip down south to the city of Angels.  It was scorching hot, and I started questioning our decision to go escape our bustle and bustle to more of both. It was Ocep's birthday when we drove out. His only request was a coupon book, just like one I made him before years ago. Now, before you think anything naughty, the coupon book he wanted was mostly for "tickle time" because he loves tickling me, and I don't like to be tickled.

In light of the scorching hot summer in LA, and we didn't anticipate the museums we wanted to visit were closed on Mondays, we took pictures around the area instead. At first, I wasn't really up for it since I'm not really a big fan of the sun when I'm outside and it's ninety degrees. Nonetheless, the view is pretty spectacular from the Griffith Observatory Park, and it was hard not to be mesmerized.

The Zara shirt is a new addition I picked up on this trip. It was on sale, and I just couldn't pass up on the adorable cacti prints! I was thinking to use it as a oversized tee, but it totally works as a lightweight outerwear, too!

Sunny Afternoon | Stripes and Flare

LOFT TOP size SP , LOFT JEANS (similar), HALOGEN SHOES (old)

I am currently infected by the off-shoulder/bell-sleeves trend as you can see with the last couple of my post. I remember few years ago when I started my blog, my then boyfriend (and my now-husband) was really struggling in taking my pictures. It seems we have come along way. He now is the one who picks the spot for my pictures and even initiates the photo shoots. My photo shoots are mostly impromptu, but I still enjoy them nonetheless.

The summer has been pretty sunny and bright, and I sure will miss it once it's gone, which is flying so fast. I am enjoying a couple of weeks off as I am moving to a new firm. It is exciting and frightening at the same time, but I just hope for the best.

Louis Vuitton Handbag Organizer

BAG ORGANIZER - Original Club
NEVERFULL MM - Louis Vuitton

Not too long ago, I shared on my channel that I finally got my very first Louis Vuitton bag. I went with the classic Neverfull MM in Monogram with pivone interior. Right after I got the bag, I went ahead and ordered a bag organizer after compiling all the research. This one is from Original Club, and it fits perfectly inside the MM size. I've posted a complete review on the bag organizer on my channel.

The bag organizer is made out of this thick felt that gives the bag structure and shape. It makes my life so much easier and organized. The bag organizer really makes me love the bag even more. Although the quality of the bag organizer is somewhat questionable after I ordered a second one for my Speedy 30, I still highly recommend this particular one for the Neverfull MM.

The bag organizer is shipped from Thailand, so it takes about 1-2 weeks for shipping. I have a 50-50 (good/bad) experience with Original Club products, but this very first organizer is what got me hooked in the first place.

Super Bloom at Carrizo Plain | A Guest Post by Ocep

I still can't believe that we pulled it off. I am currently at the peak of my busy season as a tax accountant. When our friends shared their trips to see the Super Bloom at Carizzo Plains, my husband instantly asked me to go. Looking at the pictures, I didn't even think twice to say, "Let's go!"
It was an impromptu getaway, a very short one I might add.

I leave it to Ocep to share you the deets of the trip since he was the one who planned everything, but let me just tell you that 4-hour drive was totally worth it. We literally just had less than 24 hours to enjoy the flowers and everything before we had to go back but it was worth it. Continue on reading and watch our trip here!

Hello everyone, this is Ocep, Amadea's (awesome) husband. Since it's only a two days one night trip, the planning was really simple! I booked a room in Taft, CA. I just picked a hotel that has good reviews and value, we spent $85 for a single night at Holland Inn and Suites. It's a good place to stay, it offers free parking and free wifi. The owner was nice, too. He actually gave us a copy of Carrizo Plain map when we checked out the next morning.

Carrizo Plain has two entrances, north and south. From Taft, you can opt for either on as they are roughly the same distance from the town. We went for south entrance since we had to drive north anyway to go home. It took us about half hour to get to the south entrance. I didn't really think it through and just drove north on Soda Lake Road towards visitor center and stopped here and there (see map here).

The flowers surely didn't disappoint! About 10 minute-drive from the entrance, we were welcomed by a hill full of yellow monolopia flowers. People parked their cars at the side of the road and so we did. The hills were literally blanketed by these yellow flowers, they looked ridiculous! We spent almost a good hour there before moving on.

We drove another half  hour until we noticed a huge patch of purple flowers in the distance on the right side of the road. So we continued driving until we bumped into a side road leading towards the patch. We turned right and drove for another 10 minutes or so until we arrived at a parking spot. We parked our car there and walked further inland following people. It was around 1.5 mile walk but it was worth it. We arrived at a field full of purple lupine flowers! I was really excited since it was the first time for me to see a single place covered by whole lot of purple flowers! We spent maybe 1.5 hours there to take pictures and enjoy the moment.

Go early in the morning! Since it's spring, the sun already rises by 6 or 7 am. That way,  there will be less crowds and the picture will be much nicer since the sun is not too harsh early on. So I would suggest for you to arrive in the plain by 8AM at the latest.

From there, we walked back to the parking spot and got back to the main road. We drove until we got to an area where on your left and right side it was miles and miles of yellow monolopia flowers. The flowers were so dense that you kind had to make your way if you want to walk deeper into it. Lucky for us, there were already tracks left behind by previous visitors. We took pictures, enjoyed our time and actually had our lunch with a view!

Casual to Work | Stripes,Jogger, White Sneakers and Louis Vuitton Neverfull MM

FOREVER 21 TEE (similar), LOUIS VUITTON NEVERFULL MM
THIS IS APRIL jogger (similar), NEVADA sneakers (similar on sale, similar)

Roughly 3 more weeks until tax season is over. I have to say that things have been going pretty smoothly for me despite some bumps in the administrative department at work. People keep implying how awful it must have been for me to work long hours and to work on Saturdays, but honestly I feel fine. I am surprised myself that I feel fine to come in on Saturdays. It's a weird feeling for me, but I really do feel that.

Every accounting firm is different, but we wear business casual and we have casual Fridays where we get to wear jeans to work. During tax season, at least for the last 8 weeks, we can wear more casual outfits to work. We can wear jeans everyday. It may sound lame, but for me it's awesome. I love lounge wear obviously, I always put comfort first - but not too comfortable otherwise I would have worn pyjamas to work =P. I love stripes, and I think I get that from my parents who literally wear stripes on most days.

Life is Too Short | My Very First Louis Vuitton Neverfull Bag

LOUIS VUITTON Neverfull MM, OLD NAVY Everyday coat, and mid-rise rockstar jeans (similar)

Tax season is starting to get to me, which is not bad considering it has been 6 weeks in. I've been working on weekends, so the little time I have on weekend becomes even more precious. Just about a week before my working Saturday started, we visited this nursery in search for lavender plants. We've been having some "cat problem" and by problem I mean the neighbors' cats literally just pooped everywhere on our front yard and backyard. We heard that lavender plants are supposed to help repel animals. Long story short, it didn't work but we get a nice looking lavender in front of our window now. It was a beautiful nursery with a lot of different plants.

If you follow me on my channel, you know that not too long ago I just got my very first Louis Vuitton bag. I had been wanting the iconic Neverfull bag for years. I finally pulled the trigger and bought it. I had been eyeing the bag since I was still in college, and I can finally afford it with my own money! I took the new bag out on our little shopping trip and to the nursery.

Visit to Monterey Bay Aquarium

Topshop jacket (old), Old Navy Rockstar jeans, Nike sneakers, Old Navy crossbody bag

Two weeks before my working Saturdays start, my husband took me to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. We've heard that it's the largest aquarium, and it's also the inspiration of the Marine Life Institute in Finding Dori! I am always fascinated everytime I go to aquariums. We have visited different aquariums in different cities, and nature always amazes me.

Monterey is about 1.5 hour drive from where we live, so it wasn't that bad. We even planned ahead and brought our own lunch because we just wanted to spend the whole day in the aquarium, since the entrance ticket is a bit pricey - $49.95 for one adult.

The view from inside the aquarium is just amazing. They have this giant floor-to-ceiling ocean exhibit, just like the one you see on Finding Dori. You can see a lot of different fish and non-fish animals inside, and it's just mesmerizing. I am kicking myself for not bringing my good camera, but really. I could just stand and watch the fish swim for hours, which technically what exactly we did for that Saturday. We watched the sardines swim in sync and it's just so mesmerizing.

Outfit of the Day | Old Navy Mid Rise Rockstar Jeans

The weather has been unpredictable lately. It changes from a rainy day to a sunny day within seconds. I am not complaining, though. It's nice to finally feel real rain in California. In this look, I'm pairing old favorites with new favorites. I love the look of the mock turtleneck sweater that I got from Loft a while ago. I paired it with my new favorite, Old Navy high-waisted rockstar jeans. I got it when I was back home in Jakarta. I knew ON made a lot of jeans, but they never really felt right on me until now. I just had different perspective when I tried these on. I love the color and the slight distressed look. It fits like a glove, and the quality is really nice, too!

Since it's too cold for me to be out and about without a jacket, I topped it with a lightweight jacket, also from Loft. It's an A-line trench. I like the fit, but the sleeves are a tad too short for me - which is always the case for me when it comes to petite sizing.

My Happy Planner | Free Printable Planner Stickers

My new obsession starts at the beginning of the year when I was browsing at Michaels and found what's called the Happy Planner for 60% off. It does lift up to its name, it makes me happy just to plan out my days using stickers and colorful accessories. It does take a long time, and you need to like it to be able to enjoy it. Otherwise, it's just an added chore with cute stickers ;P

In my video, I show you how I decorate and use my Happy Planner. I am so grateful with the internet to be able to find a free printable stickers, so I don't have to keep buying new ones when I'm bored. I do need to cut them out and stick them manually, but it's how I de-stress at the end of the day =)

My Korean Skincare Routine | Innisfree Review

Korean beauty has been popular in the US lately, and I just finally got on board with it. Korean actresses and actors' skin always look healthy and dewy on the advertisement I see. My sister first introduced me to the brand Innisfree. I was visiting her in Singapore several months ago, and she told me that she stopped breaking out ever since she started using skincare products from the brand. I's Korean brand, and it's very popular in Singapore.

We've visited quite a few different store locations when I was there, and none of them were lacking customers. Innisfree has a variety of different skincare lines for different skin needs. I consulted with one of the girls at the store, and I opted from the green tea balancing skin line. I have combination skin, and this line should help balance that.

I have been consistently using all of the products from the line for several months now, and I do feel that I break out much less frequently, and I like how my skin looks without makeup now.

My routine after I wash my face starts with the green tea seed serum. The balancing skin line does not have its own designated serum, so use this instead before all other skin care products. A serum helps hydrate and prep your skin to better absorb the moisture and benefits from all the skincare products you use. I  use this mostly at night because I feel it works best to treat my skin overnight, and when I wake up in the morning, my skin already feels smooth.

I then apply Green tea balancing skin, which is a toner that feels refreshing onto the skin. I use this day and night before my moisturizer. For moisturizer, I use Green tea balancing lotion, which has a light consistency, perfect for daytime or warmer days. The last step is the Green tea balancing cream, which, in my opinion,  is thicker consistency version of the lotion. I don't use this on daytime because I feel it can get quite heavy. I opt to use this at night.

My Netflix Watch List | Series Edition

Netflix has been my go-to when it comes to filling in spare time or just to have something played on the background while I'm cooking/folding laundry/cleaning. It also has come out with legit original series this past few years, and the shows have been my favorites. And continue reading to the end for Ocep's watch list!

Please note that Netflix streaming offerings differ in each country. The ones that I put * are Netflix originals and should be available on any country.

Stranger Things* / sci-fi
My co-worker told me about this. He swore by it, and told me that I needed to watch the series asap. I was hooked on the first episode. It only has 8 episodes for the first season, so I tried to savor the show by watching it one episode a day. It was a major self-controlling on my part.

One Day at a Time* / sitcom; drama
I just finished binge-watching the whole season, and it is so different than any other 30-minute sitcom I've ever watched, and that's why I also put it under drama category. It tells a story about a single mother, her two kids, her mom and their Cuban heritage. It is educative and speaks about some deep topics on every episode. The show allows awkward moments which don't go away by audience laughter in the background. It gets as real as possible, and I love it.

Doing My Sister's Makeup | Rosy Eyes

I've always wanted to learn how to do other people's makeup, and I had the opportunity to take a class when I was back home. The class was a short one, 10 meetings of 4-hour session each. Fortunately for me, there were no other students at that time, so I had a private one-on-one lesson which helps me to be more focus and ask any questions I had.

Bare with me, that I'm still learning, and when it comes to makeup I don't think I will ever stop learning. I am just so grateful that my family is so supportive of me. After the class ended, I put my lessons to the test on my mom and sister. Here's a simple flawless makeup on my sister.

My Top Tips for Staying Organized

I took a break from my work for several months, and next week, I will be back to my reality. Over the course of 5 months,  I don't really have a fixed routine like I do when I go to work. Nevertheless, I am the type of person who always tries to make the most productive out of a day. It's really rare for me to just want to chill and spend a lazy Sunday. Not that there's anything wrong with having a lazy Sunday. But it just never happens for me. I always hustle and bustle trying to get whatever I can done on a day.

Staying at home can be very tempting to just lounge around all day and not get anything done, but for me it is important to have a to-do list everyday even when I don't have anything in particular scheduled.

Make up your bed. I feel like I am in a better mood and more productive when I make up my bed in the morning. It helps clear my mind, and it also feels nice when I go to a tidy bed at night. It sets the mood.

Take a shower. Even when you have nowhere to go, taking a shower helps you feel refreshed and ready for a new day. Doing my skincare routine in the morning, especially when I am in no rush, feels really good. It sets my mood throughout the day.

Set a schedule. When I stay at home, writing a post or shooting a video, doing house chores - cooking, cleaning, laundry at the same time, I need to be aware of the time or otherwise I would not get anything done or worse be distracted. It is important to set a schedule for myself so I know what to do when to do them.

Invest in a planner. Nowadays, you can take your agenda (i.e. your phone) everywhere with you. I always find it satisfying to jot down what I need with pen and paper. I find it fulfilling and I always refer to my planner to see my day/week/month looks like. I tend to forget small things, like doing laundry or buy milk, but when I write them down, it is much more likely for me to actually do them (although i still need to work on writing down "Go to the Gym!" and actually go). I'm currently enjoying the Happy Planner. It was 60% off at Michaels at the beginning of January. I know it takes work just to decorate them, but that's what makes it fun for me throughout the whole process.

Having a designated work area, if possible. Even at home. I find having a desk and chair at home is crucial for me to get things done. I do most of chores and blog-related work at this very spot. It's not perfect, but I love my little work area. I love how I have a window right in front of my desk, so I don't feel too suffocated sitting for hours in a room. The sun is also the best source of lighting for my pictures and videos!

Take a break. Although I'm always hustling and bustling, I do take short breaks here and there. It can sometimes be mentally draining when I do my chores or just the things I need to do throughout the day. My idea of taking a break is going to Target to see what's new or going to a boba place and pick up my favorite drink.
