Jealous,much?

Cake Face? No no!

The weather has been so crazy lately. One day it rains cats and dogs, the next day it's bright and hot. Such extreme changes can bring damage to our skin. Really, when it comes to skin care, it's never too early to do it. Whether you're a man or woman, girl or boy, it's never too early to take care of your pretty skin. But unfortunately, it can be too late. So start now!

Here are my tips to avoid cake face (cakey foundation):
1. Spend time to exfoliate your face. It gets rid of the dead skin cell and makes your skin feels smoother
2. Do apply moisturizer every time after you wash your face. Facial cleansers and soaps tend to make skin dry.
3. Use a primer. Not only it preps and smoothes your skin, it also makes your foundation/makeup stays longer
4. Don't overuse foundation, especially during hot weather like this. Too much foundation is just not a look you want to try on. Tips: Try applying your foundation with a damp  sponge. It gives lighter application and airbrush finish without too much work!
5. Voila. No cake face no more =)

Braids and Bronze

Hello everyone!!
Braids are very much in season, and I'm so happy to finally get to have my hair long enough so that I could do this mermaid tail braids.

It's much simpler than it looks. Just like regular braids, you
1. Divide your three into 3 sections. But instead of 3 equal sections, you divide your hair to 2 big chunks on the one side and middle and 1 small chunk on the other side
2. Start crossing the small chunk to the middle then combine it with the big chunk on the other side.
3. Take another small side from ther side and cross it again into the middle. Keep doing that until you're out of hair to braid.

I know it's too wordy for an instruction. You can always watch Brittany's video =)

For the eyes, I used the original Naked palette .
1. Put smog all over your lids
2. Then with a fluffy brush, apply darkhorse on your crease
3. Virgin for the tear duct area and under the brow
4. Creep for the outer corner to give the look more dimension
5. Skipped the eyeliner and went straight to Tarte Light, Camera and Lashes Mascara

MyGlam Bag ✦ April 2012

Despite what I said to stop subscribing to MyGlam, I decided to give it another shot to live up to what they claimed they were doing -

"Every month, you receive a brand new Glam Bag with 4 to 5 of our top beauty finds! These full-sized products or deluxe-sized samples are selected by our stylists for you to enjoy"

I literally just got this package on the mail today, and I'm excited to share with you all.
I must say this month's glam bag is not bad at all. No more not-so-deluxe-size samples.

This month's MyGlam theme is Girls' Night Out

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Ransom
I've heard a lot of good things about this eyeliner, but I never purchased it myself since I'm pretty much satisfied with my Maybelline Master Drama. I'm thrilled to finally get to try it out myself!

DermStore Lip Quench
This product is said to be "using a blend of nourishing oils, this treatment softens and smooth lips".
It does not sticky at all. You have to quench it harder to get the product out.

All-Belle False Eyelashes
And the last product - well, two products  are MyGlam eyes brushes that I personally think pretty good quality.

My Wish List (4/5/2012)

Third day of school, and I already went to the mall for a stress release.
Haha. It's me making things dramatic.
I really thought I was turning into a shopaholic (or rather, a beauty junkie).
But I gotta say, loudly and proudly, 90 minutes at the mall by myself browsing around, with Sephora and Forever 21 my all time favorite stores there, I did not buy a single thing, even with my beauty insider discount that's expired tomorrow.
Yay me!
It's called self-determination people!

Anyway, since it's clear that I have no haul for you, why don't I show you my wish list instead?
I've watched/seen/heard people rave about these products, and I can't wait till I get to try it myself.

3. YSL Lipstick
