OOTD: Denim Love & Best Target Find!

For once, it's not an LOTD. It's an OOTD. I just really adore this outfit. When I first picked it up from Zara, I thought it was a short denim dress that would be cute for summer time. When I tried it on, it turned out it's more of a denim tunic. It has long sleeve and falls loose on my body. At first I thought I looked like a pirate.

I rolled  up the sleeves and added a belt to give me some waist, and I just adore it. It is very comfortable, and the fabric itself is very breathable. I was really surprised. I can see this outfit as a day-to-night/work-to-casual wear. Just change up the shoes. 

Speaking of shoes, a quick shoutout to my sparkly sandals. This was a really happy find for me. I was browsing around at Target, and found this as the one and only left. It was marked down from $19.99 to $5!! I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw it. I don't know why they were marked down so low while they're still tagged full-price online. The best thing was that it was my size and they are super comfy. This is the second time it happens to me at Target. I guess shopping online still can't beat in-store experience!

LOTD: Comfortable and Effortless Makeup

Last Saturday was crazy. We were selling food for fundraising. Our youth fellowship needed new sound system equipment since we just moved to a new building. So I volunteered to help out the cooking process. It started at around 10 am and ended at 1.30 am the next day! Later on, at 10 am I was already at church getting ready for people picking up their order after service. 

This was  taken on Sunday - an attempt to look put together without spending a long time, 

at least for me. 

In time like this, rushing and stuff, I always go with the products I feel most comfortable with. I like doing this type of post because I can share with you guys the products I'm currently using, or in this case, products I feel comfortable with.

Quick & Simple LOTD

Hi everyone! Thought I'd share with you a quick LOTD of yesterday. We had a company event, so for once I got to wear Friday casual on a Wednesday. I also got to leave home at 9 instead of 7 like usual. It was nice!

Recent Little Haul

Few days ago I went to WalMart just for the sake of going out. I were feeling a little bored at home and thought to go out getting some air and we wounded up at WalMart. I was gonna pick up Covergirl Lash Blash Volume Mascara , the only mascara I have repurchased over and over again because it gives volume without smudging even the not-waterproof one. 

I also picked several other things, surprise surprise. And here some swatcharoos..

5 Favorite Bright Summer Lipsticks

Bright lipsticks are kinda my thing right now, especially with the hot summer days. Bright colors tend be very high maintenance since they are very noticeable if they ever leave a spot on teeth or run outside the lip line. I always use a lip balm as some sort of a lip primer before applying any kind of lipstick. Not only it provides a smoother canvas, it also enables the color to stay on vibrant longer. I'm sure there are so many products out there designed specifically for lip primer, but I've been using 

Vaseline Lip Therapy as my lipstick base. 

Here are five of my favorites bright lipsticks. I just realized a couple of them look very similar, but yet create different look. 

Recent Discovery #3: Revlon Super Lustrous - Love That Pink!

If you follow my blog, you know I've mentioned this several times. I got this just before Memorial Day last May. I'd never tried any lipstick from Revlon's Super Lustrous line before, and now I'm wondering why. The formula has been out there for years, yet I never paid any attention to it. 

My love for bright lipsticks has grown over time. I used to be afraid wearing bold colors on my lips, especially when I was starting in the beauty world. I'm still more self-conscious every time I wear bright lipstick, but I've learned to not care as much. I often ask my boyfriend what he thinks of my makeup when I'm wearing bright colors. He admits he doesn't really like it, but he also tells me to just go for if I do. And I really do, although sometimes I just can't get over some friends who will comment snarkily. Yes, people still do that, and yes, I still care sometimes. 

Anyway, I really love the color and I think it's perfect for hot summer days!

LOTD Feat. Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Foundation

Hello lovely people of the internet! It's been a nonstop work week at the office, but I finally manage to post something. Here's from last Saturday. I've been wanting to try Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Foundation for a while now. I asked my mom to buy for me when she was in the UK, but she picked up the wrong product and got me Bourjois Healthy Mix foundation and some other goodies, of course.

I gotta say I'm really impressed of the finish of the foundation. It's really impressive! You can see the comparison with my bare face.

Down Memory Lane to Lake Toba

Let me take you down memory lane - my memory lane that is. Back in 2011, I had the chance to have some family vacation time for several days. I was having my internship back home in Jakarta for the whole summer, so there wasn't much time for me to travel. We decided to visit the infamous, Lake Toba in North Sumatra, Indonesia. I'd learned about this lake back when I was still in school. It was even printed in one of our cash bills. I'm not sure if the money is still printed. It's been a while. 

Anyway, I finally got to visit North Sumatra, an island in Indonesia other than the famous Bali that everyone seems to know and love, and Java, the island where I was actually born and raised. If you haven't known already, Indonesia consists of thousands of islands. It's kinda cool.

My dream is travel around Indonesia someday, hopefully soon while I'm still young and able =)

Sunny Saturday OOTD

It might be a bit late to post my last weekend, oh well... 

It was super sunny last Saturday. The weather was so great, and I had no plan whatsoever! It was my first weekend after about a month or so. I had been out of town every single weekend. It's kinda nice to be home again.
