Louis Vuitton Handbag Organizer

BAG ORGANIZER - Original Club
NEVERFULL MM - Louis Vuitton

Not too long ago, I shared on my channel that I finally got my very first Louis Vuitton bag. I went with the classic Neverfull MM in Monogram with pivone interior. Right after I got the bag, I went ahead and ordered a bag organizer after compiling all the research. This one is from Original Club, and it fits perfectly inside the MM size. I've posted a complete review on the bag organizer on my channel.

The bag organizer is made out of this thick felt that gives the bag structure and shape. It makes my life so much easier and organized. The bag organizer really makes me love the bag even more. Although the quality of the bag organizer is somewhat questionable after I ordered a second one for my Speedy 30, I still highly recommend this particular one for the Neverfull MM.

The bag organizer is shipped from Thailand, so it takes about 1-2 weeks for shipping. I have a 50-50 (good/bad) experience with Original Club products, but this very first organizer is what got me hooked in the first place.

L'Oreal True Match Lumi Cushion Foundation

I'd been really intrigued by cushion foundation and done some research. I wanted to try one from the drugstore just to see how I would like it, so I picked the L'Oreal Tru match lumi cushion foundation.
Reviews I read and watched all sounded promising. And I have to say, I really enjoy it.

It has light to medium coverage, but you can totally build it up. I still need to use concealer to hide my blemishes, but the foundation manages to even out my skin tone only in one layer. The name 'lumi' gives away how the finish is. It makes my skin look glowy, in a good way. I feel like i have such a healthy natural skin with this foundation. It just looks so natural and not cakey at all.

There are some drawbacks from this product. One of them is the sanitary reason. Since it's basically liquid-soaked sponge in a compact, the application might not be the most sanitary when you "double dip" your brush or sponge directly to the product. I don't use the sponge that comes in the compact just because I don't like to get it all dirty and all. I use my own foundation brush and I blend with beauty blender afterwards.

What's New at Sephora | The Estée Edit

I was just browsing around Sephora website, per usual when I stumbled across the newest line, the Estée Edit by Estée Lauder. I haven't heard anyone talk about it before, so I was intrigued and decided to pick some things from the line to try myself. I guess this is the company's way to target the younger market. They even have Kendall Jenner as the face of the line on Sephora website.

I've talked all about it on my video, and here are some close up pictures and swatches.

Ann Taylor Classic Trench Coat

I've tried quite different kinds of trench coat, and none really quite worked for me without any additional work done.  I know Ann Taylor has its own version of trench coat, but I missed the boat last year. I finally picked it up this year, and I am quite pleased with the measurement.

For once, it has both regular and petite sizing. I always opt with petite sizing whenever possible because it usually has better fit for me length and width-wise.

Sorry for the blurry picture. I accidentally erased the other pictures. The coat falls just a little bit on top of my knees which is more flattering for someone who's 5'2" like me. A few inches longer, then I would look like I'm in someone else's coat. Watch my video to see the demo and more detailed review.

Rebecca Minkoff Love Crossbody Bag

This is one of my favorite finds for this coming Fall. The style reminds me of the Boy Chanel flap bag that I absolutely adore. This is a more affordable alternative that offers great quality and style.
I was in defense at first whether to keep the bag or not, but I decided to keep it because the style is just so versatile. It instantly dresses up my outfit even when I'm just wearing a plain white tee and boyfriend jeans. Love this bag!
Nordstrom is currently having its end-of-summer sale for 40% off. Although this bag is for the coming Fall, they actually have something similar in different color and pattern. It's currently 40% off. Go check it out!

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2015: Burberry Beauty Nude Glow Set

Nordstrom is having its anniversary sale right now featuring the new fall collection. The prices will go up on the first week of August. It's my second year getting sucked in to the amazing deal Nordstrom has to offer. One of the things I picked up is this beauty set by Burberry. I've heard Burberry launched its beauty products a while ago, but I haven't really heard a lot of people talking about it. So when I saw this set, I decided to try them out myself.

The set includes:
full size Fresh Glow Luminous fluid base No. 01 nude radiance (retails for $48)
full size Lipstick in No. 05 nude pink (retails for $33)
full size Bold lash mascara No. 01 ebony (retails for $29)
sample size My Burberry perfume
Burberry beauty bag

I would say for $78, it is a very good value. You get all full size products (not counting the perfume sample) and a beautiful beauty bag, which I really adore. It looks fancy and and feels really good quality-wise. After learning more about the beauty line, I find that Burberry goes for a more natural flawless, as we can see on their fashion show looks. It's all about "your skin but better" look.

Estee Lauder Double Wear Makeup

Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Makeup shade 2N1 desert beige

I've been wanting to try Estee Lauder foundation for a long time now, but I just hadn't done it yet. Now, that I have, I wonder I hold off so long to try it out! You just need the smallest amount to have amazing coverage. I just needed one layer to even out my complexion and cover the redness.

I'm very impressed with the coverage. It shouldn't be surprising, since it is known for its great cover-up. I do feel like I can't really get natural look out of this foundation because it's relatively thicker and creates a heavier makeup look. I can feel I am wearing makeup when I use this, which is not always a bad thing. Sometimes it's what I'm going for even though I'm more of a natural look kind of gal.

The scent reminds me of pen ink. Really. I know it's so random, but that's how it smells like to me! I use pen all the time at work, so the ink scent is familiar to me. It's not so strong that makes me don't want to use it, but it's something to keep in mind for people who are sensitive to scents. Then again, maybe it's just me and my weird nose =).

leftt - Estee Double Wear powder shade 2N1 desert beige
middle - NYX stay matte not flat powder foundation shade 07 warm beige
right - MAC mineralize skinfinish natural shade medium plus
I also picked up the powder foundation in the same line. I got the shade 2N1, the same shade as the foundation. It is no doubt a powder with serious coverage. I wouldn't use this as a touch-up product on the go. It feels really smooth and buttery. It helps even out the the skin tone and mask redness when topped on a less-coverage foundation. It reminds me of my old favorite, NYX stay matte but not flat powder foundation which, as you can see from the picture, has even more opaque swatch. The double wear looks a lot like MAC mineralize skinfinish natural. The packaging itself is a little bit thicker than I would prefer allowing a compartment for a sponge, which I personally never use. The powder doesn't have any smell to me.

Have you tried any product from the line yet? What are your thoughts?

NYX Highlight & Contour Pro Palette

Contour and highlighting  have been in season lately. They have always been popular, but lately the hype is on another level. Companies come up with their own contour & highlighting palettes. I use matte bronzer for contouring and a highlighter to highlight. I finally join in the wagon and tried the NYX Highlight & Contour Pro palette. Relatively cheaper than the high-end products out there for $24.50 retail price. I got mine with the $3.50 off coupon at Ulta.

The palette comes with 4 highlight shades and 4 contour shades. Two of the highlight shades in the middle are relatively matte, The other two on the ends have shimmer but they're not at all glittery. I use the yellow tone (the third one from the left) as setting powder on highlighting concealer around the upper part of the apples of my cheeks, kinda create a little triangle. I then use the shimmery one on top of the apples of my cheeks after blush.

Tory Burch Reva vs Audrey Brooke Kristin Flats

I'd been curious of the oh-so-popular  Tory Burch flats for a very long time. I'd seen a lot of people wear them, and I wanted to try them but then backed out because I just didn't think it was worth it.

Then the Nordstrom sale came. The flats were almost never on sale, but they were that time. I ordered two different sizes (8 and 8.5) online, didn't know which one, if not neither, would fit perfectly.

Not long after, the look-alike flats by Audrey Brooke, DSW's home brand, caught my attention. My boyfriend told me it looked like a knock-off design. People mistakenly thought it was the real TB flats, which I find surprising that apparently not all are brand conscious. Haha. Silly me.

Beauty Review | Origins Drink Up Intensive Mask

Happy Tuesday! I hope you all are having a great week so far. I am having my "friday" today and will have another long weekend this week. I can't believe new year's just two days away!

I got this in a set during Sephora VIB sale along with Origins Night-A-Mins cream, GinZing eye cream and GinZing moisturizer. I was looking for a good  moisturizer, and Origins is well-known for its skincare products. I like almost everything in the kit, but
Drink Up Intensive Mask is the star among others in the kit in my opinion.

This is the kind of face mask that you leave on overnight and rinse off the next morning. The application is more like a moisturizer, but it acts a million times better. It's formulated with avocado and apricot kernel oil. Both ingredients are known for moisturizing benefit.

I don't use this everyday, but every three or four days because I feel like everyday would just be too much hydration if that's possible. I also skip my moisturizer when I use this because it already covers the moisturizing part. When I wake up the next day, I feel my skin so smooth and look more healthy and glowy. It claims to work best for dry skin types. I have combination skin, and it still work wonders for me. Plus, the scent is soooo good. It's refreshing and just the kind of scent I want to put on my face. I would totally recommend this or just give is a gift for the holiday.

Thanks for reading!
Have a great new year!

Everlane Chunky Knit Sweater

Happy Sunday!
I hope everyone had a warm Christmas. I spent mine touring in San Francisco. We visited a couple of places and went back for dinner with friends. I get too dependent on my blanket and heater. I purposefully turn on the heater in my bathroom for a couple of minutes before I go in to save me from the freezing cold of undressing.

Everlane has become my favorite online shop to browse. They deliver high quality products with simple essential clothing items. Comfy and chic are what I consider my own personal style, and Everlane resembles that effortlessly.

I purchased The Chunky Knit Boyfriend cardigan a few weeks ago, taking advantage of their referral credits and holiday bonus.  I can't find this online anymore, but they have the crew version. Since it's boyfriend style, it's meant to fit loosely and more baggy which I love during this colder months. I just like to snuggle with thick sweaters.

First Aid Beauty

The brand was a hype around last year. I've seen many youtubers/bloggers mention about their Ultra Repair Cream, and then their Eye Duty Triple Remedy. I was intrigues, but I still had a lot of products in my cue waiting to be used.

As my day eyecream and moisturizer ran out, came Sephora VIB sale and I grabbed this kit for a steal. Of course, they soon ran out of stock, and I don't know if they will be available again for the holiday, but I can't find it online anymore.  Now, I haven't tried everything here yet, but I want to share with you in case you're interested to try them out.

Beauty Review | Dior Pore Minimizer Primer

Yes!
Y to the E to the S.
YES!

That's my first reaction after I tried Dior Pore Minimizer Skin Refining Matter Primer. It's the first primer ever that manages to really keep my T-zone, most oily-prone area of the face, shine free. It works every time. I go out and about, and when I check my forehead, it feels much less oilier than usual.

It claims to "instantly corrects imperfections by filling, refining, and mattifying skin for a high-definition flawless complexion". Although the name is "pore minimizer", I'm not so sure how minimizing can pores be. I do see the primer help blur out imperfection and smoothen the skin, prep it for foundation. It leaves the skin feel velvety, and it keeps that way for hours. I've used it for 10 hours straight, and I'm convinced that it's the best primer I've ever used. Don't get me wrong. It won't keep the face oil-free 100%, but close. It helps reduce oiliness and, thus, shininess.

Another plus is the packaging comes with a pump which makes it easier and more sanitary.

What's the best primer you've tried so far?

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush Palette

I was so excited when I found out that Hourglass launched their blushes in palette, just like they did with the Ambient lighting palette last year. The individual blush is retail for $35, so the palette is a much better deal for $58, considering. I took advantage of the VIB sale last weekend.

Sephora website was down for hours on the first day, so I went to the mall during lunch break to make sure the things I had on my list weren't sold out. This is the only sale  I'm looking forward to the whole year, and possibly the only time I really shop at Sephora. Surely enough, there was only one left at the store, so I quickly grabbed it, along with a couple other things.

Weekend Pampering | The Body Shop Honey & Oat 3-in-1 Scrub Mask

Sunday afternoon is the best time to pamper myself. Face mask, hair mask, body mask, you name it!

One of my favorites mask is Honey & Oat 3-in-1 Scrub Mask by The Body Shop. I picked it up several months ago, but didn't really use much of it. My first impression was the scent. It has his rich scent of oatmeal that I find calming.

The mask has beads that are oatmeal grains, which should act as scrub. It claims to "cleanse, polish and moisture". The scrub isn't the kind that gets dry. It doesn't dry on the skin, which is great especially for dry skin on this colder weather. I put it on and leave it for about 15-20 minutes, sometimes more while I go about doing something else. Then, I rinse it off with lukewarm water. I read that lukewarm water is better for your skin. I use a washcloth to take it off if I don't go take a shower after.

My skin will instantly feel healthier, if that's even possible. It feels not tight, which cold weather does to skin, and smooth. I love this mask. The mixture of honey and oat makes a gentle moisturizing component for the skin.

I also like The Body Shop Tea Tree face mask  for fighting acne.

What's your favorite face mask?

Stripes, Squares and Rosy Cheeks ft. It Cosmetics CC Cream

Hi everyone!

Long time no post! I hope you all are having a wonderful week. I finally finish my second tax season of the year. The weeks had been exhausting. I could even find the energy to just sit down and write. I miss it, for sure.

I am really excited to share my recent newfound love for a CC cream.  It's from It Cosmetics 'Your skin but better' CC cream with SPF 50+.  I have really been loving this lately. It's a good alternative to a heavy straight on foundation. I still think a BB cream or CC cream or tinted moisturizer or whatever they are called nowadays are just gimmicky names the marketing people came up with.

I would never alternate my moisturizer for this or any of the mentioned above, but I am so glad to swap my foundation for this particular one. The coverage is awesome. I could go away with just one well-blended layer. My skin has been acting up a lot with breakouts on my cheeks and forehead. I feel like this gives lighter touch but comparable coverage of a foundation. Whenever I apply it on, I feel like I just wear moisturizer which it should be doing anyway.

Beauty Review: Laura Mercier Smooth Finish Flawless Fluide

I've been a fan of the legendary Laura Mercier silk creme foundation. When I found out they launched Laura Mercier Smooth Finish Flawless Fluide, I was eager to try. For the price tag of $48, I could not commit on buying before trying it out first. I went to Sephora and asked for one of the ladies to give me a sample of that in the shade 'Ecru'. Sephora is pretty generous in giving out sample. It can last me for 3-4 uses.

The first time I applied it on my face, I instantly got the very smooth feeling. At first I thought applied too much because it felt a bit too slippery for a foundation. Soon enough, it set to a velvety finish which I was so impressed. I can literally see the foundation blur out my blemishes and other imperfection. It doesn't accentuate my dry patches which is due to my acne treatment, and
it also doesn't emphasize my zit.

Not only that, it also makes my pores appear less obvious. Does anyone who have tried this feel the same way? I can see how the foundation blends flawlessly onto the skin and blurs out my pores.

7 hours since application

I had my makeup on for a good 14 hours, and it still looked pretty good. I did use MAC skinfinish natural powder when I applied my make up in the morning but didn't touch up ever since. The foundation did wear off around my nose and cheeks, but I could still see the blush and bronzer which is indication of a good base of foundation.

Have you tried it? What do you think?

Let's get connected!

Everlane Swing Trench

Hi everyone!

*Update 9/16/14: I returned the size XS and ordered the size S. Unfortunately, the difference between the two sizes are not ideal. The size small fits too big for me, and the sleeves are too long. Although I would prefer to have the XS, I don't recommend this for petite friendly sizing.
I decided to return them.

I posted briefly about Everlane on my LOTD for a date night post not too long ago. I ordered their basic T, and I really like the material.  Everlane is a unique online shop. They provide pictures and costs underneath each product showing how much they profit from a single product.
 I think it's really cool.

When I saw this coat online, I really wanted to try it but they were always sold out. I finally managed to put an order for size XS. Sadly the shoulder and sleeves are too narrow for me. Regardless, I think this is a keeper if I could get my hands on the right size.

The coat obviously resembles a basic trench, but it's the shorter version. It falls just below my waist. The color is called "sage" online, which is more like a mud green in person. I like the color for a coat. It's different than the traditional beige trench.

5 Favorite Bright Summer Lipsticks

Bright lipsticks are kinda my thing right now, especially with the hot summer days. Bright colors tend be very high maintenance since they are very noticeable if they ever leave a spot on teeth or run outside the lip line. I always use a lip balm as some sort of a lip primer before applying any kind of lipstick. Not only it provides a smoother canvas, it also enables the color to stay on vibrant longer. I'm sure there are so many products out there designed specifically for lip primer, but I've been using
Vaseline Lip Therapy as my lipstick base.

Here are five of my favorites bright lipsticks. I just realized a couple of them look very similar, but yet create different look.

Shower Stuff #2: John Frieda Luxurious Volume Shampoo & Conditioner

Have you watched Amelia's, from Amelia Liana on youtube, hair? Her hair is exceptionally gorgeous and I really adore it! I've watched her hair care routine video, and one, or two, of the products that intrigued me were this shampoo & conditioner from John Frieda.

Every time I go to a salon, the hairdresser always tells me how soft or straight or fine or thick my hair is. While I feel really blessed with naturally fine, un-frizzy hair, deep down I always long for a voluptuous body of hair. Really, it is so hard to build volume and make it stay without the some kind of help from hair spray or hair styling mousse of some sort.
