Chambray Playsuit, Bourjois Foundation and theBalm Hot Mama Blush

Hi everyone!

I just got back from a weekend trip for a cousin's wedding in Missouri. Although there's only two hours difference, I feel a little bit jetlag and need to catch up on sleeping. I'll post more about the trip soon.
I want to share my newfound love with this chambray playsuit from Loft. I visited Missouri Botanical Garden. Although the beauty of the gardens sure made my day, still the heat got me. It was humid and nearly 100 degrees there.

I gotta admit, going to the bathroom with this outfit was surely a challenge. I need to "halfly undress" everytime. Other than that it's perfectly comfortable and keep me as cool as possible despite the humid weather.

My makeup today is based on the Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum foundation - No. 55. This is really a natural looking foundation that gives dewy look. Although throughout the heat of the day, the foundation slowly wears off. One thing that I must applaud is the blush I wore here. It's theBalm Hot Mama Blush (also worn here). This lasts all day even after all the sweat.

Stay tune for more posts to come from the trip!

Blue, Black and Nude

Happy Friday everyone!
Things have been crazy at work lately, but I'm always grateful for the sunny weather down here in Nor-Cal.

I really like this color combination. I am obsessed with this Ann Taylor Gallery Tote
(also worn here).  They no longer carry this nude color, but they have brought out two new colors for Fall - black and taupe.

Speaking of Ann Taylor, I just realized that I'm sporting the brand from head to toe (almost). I got my sunglasses from Nordstrom during their anniversary sale. I guess you know where the clothes in my closet come from .

LOTD: Purple Pretty

Not too long ago, I posted a little haul. One of the things I got was a purple eyeliner from Rimmel. I've been seeing several beauty bloggers featuring colored eyeliners, and I think it's such a great alternative to black or brown.

I searched from my collection, and came across this MAC "Spoiled Rich Eyeshadow" quad from the Archie's Girls collection launched around Valentine's day last year. The palette has a very cool purply tone which is very different that I'm used to. I got this just because I was an Archie's fan but never really got around to use it. So this is a perfect timing!

Empties #2

Hi everyone!
I don't know about you guys, but I accumulate empties in a bin inside my closet. *blogger problem*

Jergens Ultra Healing lotion
I used to have the driest skin all over my body. I had that scaly-snake looking skin around my legs and arms. My mom was the one who introduced me to Jergens. It was fairly expensive back in Jakarta since it is an imported product. I had that assumptions everything comes from the US must be good for the price was crazy high. Anyway, I tried it, and it changed my skin  - for the better. I've been using it for at least 7 years now, and it still is amazing!

Herbal Essences Naked dry shampoo
This was a relatively new product when I got it about 5 months ago. No, dry shampoos don't typically last me that long. I picked this up because I was curious. The packaging sucked me in to be honest. It is fresh, sleek and clean. The product itself doesn't have any residue, which is good especially for dark hair like mine. This does a good job in absorbing oil, but if you're looking for extra volume than this is not your guy.

Boots expert sensitive gentle refreshing toner
I picked this up at Target. As the name might suggest, this is a gentle and refreshing toner. I didn't feel any tingle when I used this, even on top of open acne. I feel like it gives an extra step in removing dirt and hydrating my face.

TRESemme heat tamer leave-in spray
Honestly, I don't know if I can say this is my favorite heat protector spray like many other bloggers do. I can't tell the difference of what it does to my hair compared to other brands I have tried. What I CAN tell you that ever since I've started using heat tamer religiously before I use heat on my hair, I don't have split ends no more!

My Most Used Blushes

Blush is one of those product that I can't seem to just simply pick a favorite. When I'm traveling, I bring at least 3 different ones in my makeup bag. Here are my current most "reached" blushes.

My Day in Pictures | Take Me Out to the Ball Game

Hello everyone! Yesterday, I had the opportunity to watch the Battle of the Bay, baseball game between The San Francisco Giants and Oakland Athletics. I'm not a baseball fan, but I still get excited of the whole experience.
We took the train to SF, and walked about 0.3 mile from the station to the stadium

I met these two cuties at pregame.

My face of the day. I got compliment for my skin and blush. They said my skin was glowing. Thanks to the YSL Serum Foundation! For my blush, I used Maybelline bouncy blush "hot tamale" and topped it off with Clinique "peach pop"

I was a beautiful day. Thankfully, our seats were under the shade, so I didn't have to worry about getting burned like a lobstah!

On my way home, I got to ride the train alone. I think this was my first time riding the train alone. I finally got a chance to catch up with my current read - "Wolves in Chic Clothing" by Carrie Karasyov and Jill Kargman. I really enjoy the book!

Gingham and Red

In the spirit of Indonesia's 2014 Presidential Election at Indonesian Embassy last Saturday, I decided to wear this t-shirt saying "Damn I love Indonesia". It's made in Indonesia, the owner of the brand is a former MTV VJ, Daniel Mananta. I think this is a smart idea. I love the t-shirt. It's great quality product.

Saturday in the City | Pilpres, Korean Mexican, and Chinese Italian Food

This Saturday, we drove to Indonesian Embassy at San Francisco for our presidential election, or what we call "PilPres" which is short for "Pemilihan Presiden". I've registered online to vote by mail, but I didn't receive it until today. I went there this morning I could vote in person without worrying whether the ballot would ever come in the mail. Attempt failed. They told me to wait patiently instead. Fortunately, it did come in the mail.

It turned out to be an eventful saturday. Many of my friends went along for casting their votes, and we got to have a nice trip to the city. We tried out new places to eat. They were interesting. My lunch and dinner were both very culturally mixed.

For lunch we went to HRD Coffee Shop, a small Korean fusion eating place with just enough seats. It doesn't look anything like a coffee shop, but more like an old Korean Chipotle. I ordered this Smothered Burrito with fried oysters inside. My boyfriend ordered Curry rice with chicken katsu. Both dishes have curry in them which is a bit spicy to my liking. The fried oysters inside the burrito gave a very interesting twist. The portion was big enough for me, even enough for 2 people.

OOTD: Floral Fourth of July

Hope everyone had a great Friday! My day off was spent cozying on the couch with the laptop in front of me. I've been editing video and blogpost all day. The weather was particularly nice, too bad I spent all day indoor.

I wanted to wear something bright and summery, and this dress from Abercrombie is perfect. It's red with roses print all over it, and it's a very lightweight dress. I like this for a low-key day like strolling-at-the-park-kinda day, but I wouldn't wear this if I were to go sightseeing just because this dress is a bit shorter than my preference.

For a coverup, I put on this softened white shirt from Loft. I got in on clearance sale a couple of weeks ago for less than $10! What a deal. You just can't beat what you could find shopping at the physical store! I just tied the end of the shirt, and it creates a different look of the outfit.

And here's where my heart is in lately. I've been eyeing this bag from Ann Taylor for a while, but it was never on sale. I waited until there's a good deal and worried that it might go out of stock like it did last year. I'm glad they brought it back. I'll blog more about it in the future.

Have a great weekend everyone!
