Battle of Dry Shampoo| Batiste, Dove, NYM and more

I've been sort of addicted to dry shampoo. I remember when I first tried dry shampoo, I thought to myself, there was no way this thing worked. It must've been just another marketing gimmick. Lo and behold, fast forward 2 years later, I've been relying on dry shampoo for controlling the oil on my head. I know it sounds strange, but it really does the job!

It seems that I've been washing my hair less frequently than I used to. A little bit TMI, I know. I've been washing my hair out of a must rather than something I enjoy. It just seems I've been rushing day in and day out, and it's just difficult for me to spare more time in the shower. Don't get me wrong. I still wash my hair, but dry shampoo helps making my third-day hair looking like first-day, and I'm serious.

Origins GinZing Refreshing Eye Cream

I wanted to try a new eye cream and saw this from Origins got a lot of good reviews online. I used two eye creams, my Skinfood royal honey eye cream for the day and RoC eye cream at night. There's no specific purpose why I use, it's just that I want to try different things.

I did have a review on the skinfood royal honey eyecream awhile back, but it's running out soon so I decided to take advantage of the Sephora VIB discount back in November. I might have brought it up a few times on previous posts, but let me dig deeper here.

LORAC Unzipped Palette

So being away for so long apparently got me in some really late news in the blogger world. I just learned that Sephora is not longer carrying LORAC. I was browsing online to their website looking whether Lorac Pro Palette is still on sale or not, and I was surprised to find they only had three items on sale. I hearned one of the reason Sephora stops carrying Lorac is because Kohl's has it. Don't you think the prestige goes down a bit by officially sold at Kohl's? Well, maybe not, I don't know. What I do know is that I can now take advantage of coupons to buy this favorite brand of mine. =)

I bought this palette strictly for my mom. She asked me to buy her a Naked 2 palette, just like my sister's but I thought why would buy the same exact palette when you can have another. My logic behind it is that we all still live together - which apparently not true. But really, I'd like to believe that at the end we will be reunited and live under one roof again. Anyway, I looked up online, this palette with its rosy bronze tones really caught my attention. And may I say, this is way before I knew Naked 3 was launching soon.

Home is Where the Heart Is

Good morning world! I'm currently suffering of what I called PTHS - post-trip-home syndrome. This always happens to me every time I go back home. I feel homesick all the time and keep rethinking the real purpose of being away all this time. Does it ever happen to you, especially who lives away from your hometown?

I love my hometown and I love my family and friends. I keep having this dreams about all the things I did when I was home. Oh my...Hopefully this ends soon otherwise I will be back for good, real soon!

Speaking of home, I have given quite a lot of thoughts about going back for good, and I always end up thinking, "why not?" All said and done, I still wanna be close with my family. Call me spoiled, call me dependent I don't really care.Despite of its "downs", Jakarta has a lot of its "ups" that I can't just find anywhere else. It's close to my heart and always will be. So future plans...hmm...

I really want to hear other people's stories who experience the same thing like me - going out of the country for pursuing their study and career. Am I the only one feeling like this?

Kota Tua, Jakarta, Indonesia

Hi everyone! Happy 2014!
Long time no post. I was enjoying my days back home and just completely ignored my blog. I admit that's my weakness when it comes to blogging - consistency. I was so proud to be able to blog (almost) everyday in December till Christmas, but then... oh well.

Being back home, I didn't wear that much makeup let alone trying new products. I explored Jakarta a little bit. One of the places that really struck me was Kota Tua ~ old town. The buildings were old, hence the name. haha. They were from Dutch colonial period. Indonesia was under Dutch colonialism for about 3.5 centuries.

My dad and me - see the resemblance?
