California Winter: Yellow and Blue || Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation

I am convinced California has the best weather in all America. It's technically still winter, but it already feels like spring. Ocep and I were hunting for a good photo location for the yellow wild flower and we always go back to this place. He brought me here about 3 years ago in spring and it was totally a different scenery (check the blog post here)! Tax season is just in front of me, and I am eager to get started and just get it over with. With wedding planning in my mind, I find it harder to focus with a lot of distraction from myself, mostly. I understand now how the term "bridezilla" came about. I can imagine myself being stressed out and frantic over little details. I am so grateful to have loving and supporting mom who helps me every step of the way. The wedding will be in Indonesia, so my mom is my top wedding planner. I am so thankful for her.

I find the hardest thing to find is my own wedding dress. It seems that I am not sure exactly of what I want, but I am very sure of what I don't want. Why is that? I feel like it's just a girl thing. It's so easy with guys. Ocep can just wear anything I pick, and he'll be happy.
I wish I could be like that, but then again I don't think I would be happy when someone pick something for me, especially not my wedding dress. I have been browsing countless pictures on Instagram, Pinterest, my friends' wedding pictures, but I have not yet found something that really excites me. I find that I am pickier than usual. Does that happen to brides-to-be? Anyways, I have about 2 months to "slack around". After tax season, I will need to be full speed in my wedding planning.

I caved in and got this Estee Lauder double wear foundation a while ago. I wanted something flawless and full coverage. I tried it once, and I wasn't too crazy about it. I put it away for months, and I decided to give it another try. Sadly to say, I just can't seem to love it. It's too powdery of a look for me. It has a matte/velvet finish.  I do give it credit for its full coverage and not cakey, but I just am not to crazy for it. I guess I am more into a glowy natural finish like YSL Youth liberator serum foundation.

As I said, 2016 is an eventful year. As you are reading this, I wish every one of you 2016 full of joy and hope. Don't be afraid to do what you want to do. Life is short, too short to be afraid. And Happy Chinese New Year for all of you who are celebrating! This is my eight year in a row celebrating without my family, but I am grateful for the family God placed me in here, my dear friends. Hope your new year be as warm and toasty as California winter =).
