Fall is the best time for layers. It's getting cooler every week here in San Jose, but it's still warm enough to wear dresses without tights. I wore this dress to my friend's wedding a couple of months ago when the weather was much warmer. I'm trying to create more looks with this dress, and I was inspired by this picture to pair the dress with a basic button-up shirt for something to wear to work.
The leopard-print belt and shoes give a very nice touch of accent without being too overwhelming. I find a little bit of print mixed with solid is a yes, yes, yes.
I adore this sleeveless trench from Ann Taylor and am convinced that it's one of my best find ever. I can pair it with almost everything in my wardrobe, and it instantly boosts an outfit. It's advertised as a trench dress, but I've been wearing it as long vest instead. The material is a uncomfortably stiff for hours of sitting down at the office.
