Happy Valentine's day everyone!
I might be one of the most unfestive, or laziest if you will, people when it comes to holiday like this. I never have anything planned and always go through the day just like any other day. I have never made V day as big of a deal as I feel I should've and this year included. I don't have anything planned with my boyfriend. I usually just give him a card or something. It's nothing fancy. The thought that counts, right?
Anyway, this past weekend I finally did what I was supposed to for a long time. I finally had by eyebrows done! I was already brow-conscious for quite some time now ever since I came across the "beautyland". I used to be so very proud of my thick eyebrows because not many people have that. I still am, but I now just came into realization that eyebrows should be trimmed and shaped just like the hair on your head. I started noticing people's eyebrows. The day before, I was video-calling with my parents. When I brought up the eyebrows thing, my mom mentioned that my brows were really untidy. The conscious level raised through the roof so I was determined to have them done. And I did. I had the eyebrow threading. A friend of mine recommended me the place. I didn't think it was going to be that painful. The pain is bearable, and I'm sure I will get used to it the more I do it. But for first-timer like I was, I was really clueless of what was going to happen to me. My boyfriend who accompanied me even told be when we saw a woman who went before me that it seemed unsanitary. I was ready to back out, but I was so determined and I'm still okay. There was no saliva involved, as my friend once presumptively told me. Everything was as expected the pain. But it wasn't too bad. I did get teared up a little bit, but no pain no gain ;)
Voila.
I kept them thick because I didn't know, Overall, I'm really pleased with the result and might come back in several weeks.
Having your eyebrows shaped really brings out the overall definition of your face. Not only you look more put together, but you also look more professional in a sense, especially when you're already in the working world like I am now, if that makes sense. Maybe not. Just my two cents. It's worth a try. Also when I was waiting for my turn, there was a girl, might be in high school came for her session. I really thought I was super late about this kind of stuff. But better late than never.
Have a great one!
