Ulta 20% Off Everything Sale (10% off Prestige Brands)

I was hoping to receive 20% off code for everything including the prestige brands this year. I wonder if it's because I am no longer a platinum member. I had some issue with my account and it was recently resolved. I lost almost all the points for the past 2 years, and it kinda sucked.
I was a bit disappointed with the promo code, but since there are some of Ulta exclusive holiday items, I thought it's still worth sharing.

If you have an account with Ulta, you should have received the promo code on your email. The sale starts today through October 31st. The code can only be used once, so you need to plan ahead.

Continue reading for my tips and picks !

1. Tarte Greatest Glitz Collector's Set & Portable Palettes. $49
Emily from Beauty Broadcast did a great comparison between Tarte Holiday palettes for Ulta exclusive and Sephora exclusive. The Ulta exclusive gives more flexibility for travel with 3 individual palettes. The pigmentation is also more consitent, and is overall a better value than the one in Sephora.

Becca is known for a brand that creates top-notch highlighter. Their shimmering skin perfector is very popular, and I love the liquid version. The palette is not an eye shadow palette, even though it looks like and can be used as eyeshadow. It comes with the 3 shimmering skin perfector and 2 mineral blush. It might look smaller for a blush/highlighter palette, but for the price it is a great value.

IT cosmetics collaborated with Ulta for their makeup brush line. I haven't tried one myself, but from the reviews I got, they seem to be good quality brushes. They come in individuals as well as sets.  I've placed an order and I can't wait to try it out.

4. Lorac Mega PRO Palette 2, $59
I totally missed the boat on the first Lorac Mega PRO Palette last year. It was sold on Lorac website, and I was totally uninformed until after the palette was sold out. The original
Lorac PRO palette that comes in a black skinny packaging is my favorite palette by far. I find myself reach to it the most, and it is the most versatile palette that offers a wide range of variety. If I can only bring one eye shadow palette when I'm traveling, this is it. So when I heard Lorace came out with Mega PRO Palette last year, I was so let down that I couldn't get my hands on it. This year, they came with a brand new Mega Pro palette and only at Ulta. I immediately got it at 12 am on d-day. The excitement was real!

This lip sets is the best value I've seen so far. It's not exclusive to Ulta, but I can't find it on Sephroa website. You get 9 LipSurgence in 9 different shades. They are not full size, but what I like about jumbo lip pencil is that even when it comes in the smaller size, it's not as fragile as miniature lipsticks that often come in a set like, say, the Fresh Sugar lip treatment. They often come in sets with better value, but they are so fragile and flimsy, I wouldn't get them for myself.

What are your picks for the sale?
