Beauty Updates #1

I think it's a good idea to update you on some of the product I've shared with you. I usually give myself several weeks before posting a review of something, but sometimes even several weeks are not enough. My opinions have changed since I last shared these products with you. I've use all of them on my trip last week, so it allows me to really pay attention to what the products do to my skin.

I don't know if that makes sense. I was in a car for long hours with nothing to do other than paying close attention to what different products do to my skin. Is it weird? Oh well..
ignore the lipstick swatch =P

I've shared how much I love this, and I'm just gonna add my affection for this baby right here. I apply my foundation by squeezing a little bit on the back of my hand and put little dots on different areas of my face. With that said, sometimes there's a little bit left on the back of my hand without me realizing it. I was in the car several hours later, and realized that the swatched hadn't gone away. In fact, it didn't go away easily even after I tried to rub it off. This just told me one thing that one the foundation sets, it doesn't transfer and it is long lasting. Way to go, Laura Mercier!

This eye cream doesn't really work under foundation/undereye concealer. I was in a rush on my way to work one day and put the eye cream on. My coworker told me there's something under my eyes. I grabbed a mirror and saw there was a white residue of some sort under my eyes. I was barefaced that day. The next time I realized I was putting the eye cream under my Maybelline instant age rewind eraser. Not only it was harder to blend, my under eye area just looked cakey throughout the day.

I still love the finish of this, and my opinion stays the same on my previous post. One thing that surprises me is how oily my T-zone area when I use this product. I'm surprised because it is a powder/mineral foundation, which theoretically should mattify skin but this is not the case. My forehead was quite oily the other day when I was using it.

This might be the fastest update ever. I just posted my review last week, and I've soon realized something afterwards. Although its pretty color and sheen finish, I do find it takes more effort to put it on to make it show. It is buildable, but it takes quite vigorous stroke of application if you know what I mean.

This came in a kit I got for my birthday last year. The waterproof statement made me think that the eyeliner would last a long time. In reality, it still smudges after several hour when I use it on my waterline. Despite that, I really like how creamy it is, and it glides effortlessly on the waterline. If only it would stay there...

Thank you for dropping by!
