Clarisonic Mia 2

I have been holding off buying this for a long time because it costs a lot. I've heard so many great things about it, but I was really skeptical especially when it costs $125. I used to say I have dry skin, but lately I've realized that my skin has turned toward more combination than it is dry.

I get oily on my forehead and a lot more when I wear makeup which is odd for me because I was never the case. The other day I was testing a foundation and I was really shocked of how much I needed to blot that day because my forehead felt so greasy. I guess my skin has changed its personality throughout the year without me even realizing it.

Anyway, I got this in  late in the beginning of April with 20% off at Ulta plus my $8 rewards, so it was quite a deal. I've heard that some people got a bit of a red-skin reaction when they first used it and it'd go away. Thankfully, mine didn't show any sign of "rejection" towards clarisonic.
What I didn't expect was how fast the brush moves. The motion is so fast, that I can hardly feel anything. My first instinct was to put a little bit of pressure to my skin, but then I read the manual and it says to hold it gently against the skin - putting pressure will reduce the effectiveness.

The machine will run for 1 min for each session. It will beep every 20 seconds (for forehead and chin/nose) and 10 seconds (for each cheek). It was hard for me to keep track at first, but I get used to it after several times. I use it every other day just because I don't want to over-exfoliate.

 So does it really work?

Clarisonic does take role in clearing up my skin, especially my forehead. My skin tends to break out around my forehead. It hasn't shown any breaking out ever since I use this. About the claims that Clarisonic can help with hyper-pigmentation, I say it also works although I am not seeing dramatic changes yet, but I can totally see acne scaring on my left cheek does diminish a little bit. I wish I'd remembered to take a picture of before and after to show you.

Have you tried Clarisonic? Please do share your experience!
