Blogmas 2, 2013 ❄ Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder

dim light, incandescent light, radiant light

I've heard on and on raves about Hourglass ambient lighting powder, but really I don't need any other highlighter. Then holiday season comes, and the rest is history. When I saw this limited edition palette which is exclusive to Sephora, I caved.

It is very pricey, it's sold individually for $45. And although each shade comes a little smaller in the palette, I think it is a good deal considering. Plus I got this with my VIB discount, which helps justifying this purchase. Unfortunately, this palette is sold out.
But you still can get the regular product here

The dim light and radiant light come in the regular line, but you can only get the incandescent light in this palette.

Ambient lighting powder is supposed to be a finishing powder which "features state-of-the-art technology to recreate the most exquisitely flatter types of light". What I usually do is to use it as a highlighter rather than as a finishing powder. It does gives my skin beautiful glow, especially when it reflects light. What I like most about it is that it looks subtle when you swatch it and it might not seem that it does anything, but it really does. It's not shimmery nor glittery which I really like.
