Blogmas 3, 2013 ❄ Saturday in the City and FOTD: Chanel Vitalumière Aqua & Lioele Pearl Base

Last Saturday, to "celebrate" the almost end of thanksgiving weekend, I went to Union Square, San Francisco. The place is such a trouristy stuff that it's always packed and overly crowded with shoppers. It's been while since I was there, so my boyfriend agreed to go promising not to be grumpy throughout the trip. lol

One of birthday presents I got was Chanel Vitalumière Aqua foundation. The price tag always hindered me from buying because I had enough foundation I could spare, but really good foundation is a form of investment, and brushes too because they base your makeup look pretty much.

I call this a soft natural glowy look. Notice how my skin looks extra glowing in the pictures. It is particularly good during winter months when your skin gets dry and dull.

Using some of my usual products, the only new things shown here are the Chanel foundation and Lioele blooming shimmer pearl base in that pink tube. My mom gave it to me in a set of deluxe sample-size of Lioele products. The are Korean brands, and I've never tried them before. I don't hear people talk much about them here in the US, but it's pretty popular in Asia I assume. I heard Ingrid or missglamorazzi talked about the BB creme in her videos a while back.
I can't find an official store that sells Lioele products online, but I did find it on Amazon if you're interested.

On my lips: Revlon lipbutter - Crème brulee
The pearl base gives my look a dewy finish. If this is too much for you, you can always skip the pearl base. The Chanel vitaumière aqua foundation  gives my skin pretty sheen. I would say the foundation is medium coverage. I need to shake the bottle before I use it otherwise the liquid is not mixed together and watery product would come out instead of the foundation.

Welcome to Christmas in San Fran! The Christmas tree is huge at Union Square

Clear sky, pretty rare occasion for SF

We had lunch at Old Port Lobster Shack in Redwood City before we headed to SF.
The lobster is the bomb!

After 8 hours being outside...

I say the makeup held up pretty well, especially considering I was outside walking the whole day. I didn't touch up at all, something that I almost never do just because I'm lazy like that. I don't really bring any makeup touchups when I'm out and about. You can still  see the shimmer still there, and the foundation didn't oxidize badly on me. Overall, both foundation and the pearl base are pretty satisfactory!

Let me know your recent favorite finds!
